April 2, 2020

Our heart goes out to you and your players – we sure understand how this affects all of you!

We have started sending out emails to each guest to officially Cancel your reservation.

When you get an email from Cooperstown Stay with the
Subject:

Cancel Your 2020 Reservation,  click the link to officially CANCEL your Reservation!

YES, You need to do this even if you cancelled with your host, left a voice mail or sent an email.

This email is being sent out in waves in the order reservations were made, so massive response does not crash our system.
It will take a while for them all to go out!

THANK YOU for your notes of compassion, support , empathy and understanding for
the people of our whole area.
Take care of each other.

March 26, 2020

THANK YOU for your understanding and patience!

Our regular Cancellation Policy is being waived.
There will be NO CANCELLATION FEES.

We are making progress in altering our regular Reservation System to be able to allow each guest to officially CANCEL their reservation ONLINE.
  1. Each guest will receive an email specific to their reservation, with an option to Cancel.
  2. If you Cancel your reservation, the status of your reservation will be changed to:
    Cancelled, Waiting for Refund.
  3. The refund process will begin - one at a time - to maintain accuracy.  A check will be issued to the contact person.
The individual personalized emails with Option to Cancel will be sent out in waves:
-----  in the order that reservations were originally made.
This will  prevent our system from crashing from everyone responding at once.

NOTE: We understand All Star Village tournaments are still in place.
           Your Reservations are intact.

March 24, 2020

The State of New York has issued an executive order requiring all non-essential businesses to close.
However, we are actively working for you.
We are a small staff.  There are 100's of emails and calls.  We are so sorry not to be able to respond to each of you.
We are setting up our software to orderly track cancellations and refunds.

We value the positive responses and support that you have been sending and posting out there in the media.

March 23, 2020

YES, we will help you with cancellations and refunds.

Regrettably, due to the sheer volume of emails and phone calls, we are not able to personally respond to each of your emails and phone calls at this time.

Our phone and email systems are overloaded.

Watch for our email to you in the near future. We will help each of you!

At this point,

  • Cooperstown Dreams Park has canceled 2020 baseball tournaments.
  • All Star Village is saying they will not cancel any weeks until May 3; they will take it 1 week at a time.
  • Baseball World has not made any announcement.

We are very sad for all of your players who will not have their "Cooperstown Experience" this year.

We wish your family good health and we hope you are able to evade this new and unknown virus.
Take care of each other.

As a rental agent, Cooperstown Stay represents the rental units on our site which are privately owned and managed by individual hosts. We are coordinating with each host and each guest to facilitate a cancellation for each reservation seeking to cancel.

We will be contacting each of you in the near future with details about how to cancel your reservation.

Rental fees have been paid to each host.  We are asking the hosts to return the rental money to Cooperstown Stay. When we receive the money back from the host, YES, we will REFUND EACH GUEST..

  • We will be sending a refund CHECK to you.
  • Refunds will NOT be processed on credit cards.

Please be patient. Due to the sheer volume, this will take some time. We will do our best to carefully track all of the details and take care of each guest.

We have been accommodating youth baseball families for 23 years and will continue to do so.
We are grateful for your patronage.

We ask for your understanding and patienceWe will help you.

March 20, 2020

Tonight the Cooperstown Dreams Park issued a Press Release saying the
2020 Youth Baseball Tournament has been cancelled.
Read the complete release on their site: www.cooperstowndreamspark.com

We are very sad for all of your teams that will not have their "Cooperstown Experience" this year.
The Dreams Park is doing this out of concern for the health and well-being of all of your players, coaches and families.

In these uncertain times caused by COVID 19, we wish all your families good health and we hope you are able to evade this new and unknown virus. Take care of each other.

Cancellations ...
As a rental agent, Cooperstown Stay represents all of the rental units on our site which are privately owned and managed by individual hosts. We will work with each host and each guest to facilitate a cancellation for each reservation.

Logistically, this will take a bit of time. We ask you to help us so we can serve all of of our guests.
Please do not send multiple emails and make multiple phone calls - it will overload the system.  We will communicate with each one who made a reservation through Cooperstown Stay for the 2020 youth baseball tournaments.

We have been accommodating youth baseball families for 23 years and will continue to do so.
We are grateful for your patronage.

March 17, 2020

We are very aware of all of your concerns about traveling.
We also hear all of your fervent hopes that your child will be able have "the Cooperstown Experience".  We are all on the same page with you.

I spoke with the Director of the Dreams Park and with the management office at All Star Village yesterday and both tournament locations are planning to go forward with their respective 2020 Youth Baseball Tournaments. Cooperstown Stay is following their lead.

However, I understand your concerns about our time sensitive Cancellation Policies.
As of today we are changing our Cancellation Policy:
  • 60 day cancellation policy time for 1, 2, 3 bedroom rentals is being reduced to 30 days
  • 90 day cancellation policy time for 4, 5, 6+ bedroom rentals is being reduced to 30 days

We are doing this to alleviate your anxiety about the cancellation policy timelines.
We are optimistic there will be a positive turn of events in the next few weeks.
